Welcome to the Ultimate Culinary Experience
About: Friends of Wine and Spirits is a gourmet society that connects consumers with food, wine, and fun!
A most friendly place:All events are first and foremost a place to make new friends that share the same interest as you: that of fine living.
Attending these events you will discover new and exciting wines and spirits, each matched with the perfect dish. Events are held in all sorts of dynamic restaurants from American to Chinese to Mexican and everything in between. These events bring out the best of restaurateurs - giving them the opportunity to show-off to you their style and uniqueness; all the while you are sipping on rare and exotic wines and spirits.
Because these are promotional events, you reap the benefits; the costs for most events are at “sale-price" specifically to bring consumers in to sample the goods.
Other events are price according to the uniqueness of the wines and the caliber of restaurant the events take place in.

History:
Mr. Robert Gourdin, known around the world as Monsieur Dom Perignon, founded Friends of Wine and Spirits in 1964. Since then, the society has grown considerably from its humble beginnings in the back of a wine shop and has graduated from cheese and crackers to full course meals at various acclaimed restaurants and now hosts exciting wine tasting events throughout the US and Europe.
Today his grandson Christian Robert Gourdin, a third generation family member in the wine industry, has taken Friends high-tech.

The various formats are as follows:
Wine Dinner: A typical Friends of Wine dinner consists of a six-course meal where each dish is perfectly paired to a specific wine. Our goal is to introduce you to various wines complimenting an extraordinary meal. A guest speaker is on hand to walk you through the evening.
Events typically begin at 6:00 pm and are last two hours. To encourage discussion and introduce you to new friends you’ll be seated at a table between four to six people.

Wine Tasting Events:
These events give you the opportunity to attend a sit down lecture all the while sampling as many as a dozen products. Bread and cheese are served to cleanse the palate. These tasting experiences are open to both novice and experts. Learn all about a single winery or a single grape – also known as a horizontal tasting. Perhaps the focus will be on a single vintage – these events are known as vertical tasting.
Meet personalities in the business, like famous wine makers or wine writers.
Larger tasting events fall into the category of festivals. These events feature hundreds of wine, spirits and food, lasting several hours or over the course of a weekend.
Events: All events are open to all who have an interest in food and wine. Please sign up for our newsletter and you’ll get notice of all our events on a regular basis. E-mail addresses are kept confidential and are not shared or sold to anyone. If you have a particular idea for an event please email us and we will look into your idea! If you would like for us to create a special wine dinner for you and your own "friends" we can arrange this as well.
